CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Padmé Amidala was a courageous, hopeful leader, serving as Queen and then Senator of Naboo — and was also handy with a blaster. Despite her ideals and all she did for the cause of peace, her secret, forbidden marriage to Jedi Anakin Skywalker would prove to have dire consequences for the galaxy. Source


REQUIRED ITEMS

[box]Nightgown

 

Required Details:

  1. Floor-length, sleeveless, bias-cut (diagonal fabric cut) dress made of silk or silk-like charmeuse in a light blue (steel blue, lavender blue, or aqua blue) color.
  2. Dress has six spaghetti straps made of the same fabric as the dress, three evenly spaced on each side of the front, that come together on top of the shoulder.
  3. The gown is cut into nine panels joined by x-shaped stitching (heirloom faggot stitch) in light blue thread. In the front of the dress, the five seams come together at the top center and angle outward towards the bottom hem of the dress. There is a center seam and two side seams on the back of the dress with the same decorative stitching.
  4. Back of dress has a floor-length drape made of the same fabric as the dress, attached to the spaghetti straps at the back of the neck. It is folded under on both sides and clipped together behind the butt, then folded over and clipped together behind the calves.
  5. The fall is held together in back by two clips made of three white pearls hanging together on silver or pale gold clasps.
  6. Costumer must appear pregnant.

Optional Details:

  1. Instead of a faggot stitch, the dress may substitute a narrow, light blue faggot stitch-like trim.
  2. If using the heirloom faggot stitch, with a gap in between panels, the gown is lined in a fluid flesh-toned fabric.

Required Details:

  1. Large Art-Nouveau-like butterfly-shaped brooch of silver wire, metal, or metallic material.
  2. Brooch has pale blue backing, matching the dress fabric. (The wrong side of the dress fabric may be used for backing.)
  3. The brooch is mounted on the center front neckline.
  4. Three strings of silvery-white pearls (approximately 7 mm / 0.5” diameter) attach to each side of the brooch. The strings of pearls hang around the upper arm and attach at the back neckline, beneath the fall. Strings of pearls rest roughly 0.5”-1” / 1.5-2.5 cm apart on the upper arm.

Required Details:

  1. Low heeled coordinating tailored pumps, flats, or slippers.
  2. Heel is no more than 1” / 2. 5 cm high.

Required Details:

  1. Hair is long (below shoulders and preferably mid-back length) and curled in loose spirals.
  2. The top part of the hair is pulled into a loose half ponytail at the top back of the head.
  3. No bangs/fringe.
  4. Naturally occurring hair colors only (brown recommended).

Note: If a wig is used, it must be high quality and appear like real hair

Required Details:

  1. Small silver diadem is clipped around the half ponytail at the top back of the head.
  2. Diadem comes to two triangular points and is decorated with a Celtic knot-like pattern.

Required Details:

  1. Carved japor snippet on a delicate silver chain.
  2. Chain is long and snippet hangs just below wearer’s breasts.
  3. Japor snippet is made of an off-white bone-like material and has carved lines painted in black.
  4. Snippet is about 1” / 2.5 cm wide and 1.25” / 3.5 cm tall.
