CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Princess Leia Organa was one of the Rebel Alliance’s greatest leaders, fearless on the battlefield and dedicated to ending the tyranny of the Empire. Daughter of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, sister of Luke Skywalker, and with a soft spot for scoundrels, Leia ranks among the galaxy’s great heroes. But life under the New Republic has not been easy for Leia. Sidelined by a new generation of political leaders, she struck out on her own to oppose the First Order as founder of the Resistance. REQUIRED ITEMS
[box]Tunic
Required Details:
- Rust red or brick red colored tunic made of a non-shiny fabric (fabric may have a light pearl sheen), silk crepe de chine or similar recommended.
- The neckline of the tunic is a boat neck style, slightly curved from shoulder to shoulder. The bottom of the neckline reaches the top edge of the collar bone.
- The side seams of the tunic are open in a side slit that starts no higher than the waist and extends down to the bottom edge.
- The sleeves of the tunic are fitted, but not skin-tight. Sleeves are wrist-length. The ends of the sleeves end in a rounded point over the lower part of the hand.
- The tunic hangs down to just above the knee.
- All edges of the tunic are decorated with a thin metallic copper braid trim or braided piping trim.
Optional Details:
- The tunic is lined in a matching fabric of a similar or lighter weight.

Required Details:
- A fitted rust red or brick red belt is worn over the waist.
- The belt is roughly 2” / 5 cm wide and curves out to a large diamond/rhombus shape under the bust, approximately 4-5″ / 10-13 cm tall (proportional to the wearer) with curved points.
- The belt is stiff and is covered with the same fabric as the tunic and pants.

Required Details:
- Loose fitted harem pants that are made in the same fabric as the tunic.
- The pants are gathered into a 1-1.5″ / 2.5-4 cm tall cuff at the ankles.
Cloak
Required Details:
- Ankle-length cloak and yoke made of a semi-sheer off-white matte fabric (fabric may have a light pearl sheen), silk crepe de chine or similar recommended.
- The lining of the cloak is a sheer silk chiffon or similar rust red or brick red fabric that matches the color of the tunic and pants. The lining and outer fabric of the cloak are pleated and sewn together without top stitching.
- The yoke is lightly padded and quilted with straight quilted lines that are closer together at the collar and become further apart towards the bottom of the yoke, like wheel spokes. There are an odd number of quilted lines: 17 to 25 recommended, proportional to the wearer (the original had 21 quilting lines). The quilting thread matches the color of the tunic and pants.
- The front of the yoke does not close at the center front and lies open on either side of the neck to show the tunic.
- The yoke comes to a rounded point in the center of the back; this point should reach down roughly to the lower edge of the shoulder blades.
- The sides of the yoke reach just over the ends of the shoulder.
- The yoke has a standing collar, approximately 2” / 5 cm tall.
- The yoke has the same metallic copper braid trim as the tunic, decorating all edges, including the neckline seam of the collar.
- The cloak is attached to the yoke with neat knife pleats.
- The cloak is decorated with five large identical paisley patterns, filled with small, thick, contoured X shaped patterns. The patterns have five small rosettes in the middle and five larger rosettes at the bottom of each.
- There is one pattern on the center back, one on each side, and one on each side of the front. The two front patterns are cut off at the upper right and upper left large rosettes that flank the center front, with the finished center front edges of the cloak cutting off each of these outer rosettes just at the outer dark brown stitch ring. The five patterns are sized and placed proportional to the wearer.
- The patterns include the following colors: butter yellow/dark cream, light/medium yellow, dusty rose pink, rust red or brick red (same color as tunic and pants), dark burgundy red, and dark brown. The X patterns are outlined with the light/medium yellow in lines of stitching (stem stitch or similar stitching) to enhance the overall shape.
- The five patterns may be embroidered or finely printed onto the fabric.
- The cloak has the same metallic copper braid or braided piping trim trim on all edges.
Optional Details:
- Portions of the decorated pattern on the cape have a method of shading or shadow stitching (also known as a reverse herringbone stitch) on the wrong side of the fabric to provide depth when viewed from the right side of the fabric.
- The lining can have side seams if necessary.

Required Details:
- The shoes are ballet flats or similarly styled slippers, dyed to match the tunic and pants.

Required Details:
- Hair is pulled back to the crown of the head and into a twisted bun.
- Two looped braids hang down from under the bun that reach down to the base of the neck. These braids are full and thick.
- The side hairs over the ears should be loose and curly.
- Naturally occurring hair colors only (brown hair recommended).
- No bangs.
Optional Details:
- If a wig or hair pieces are used, they should be of high quality and appear like real hair.

- Matte red-brown lipstick.
- Black non-liquid (solid) eyeliner and mascara.
- Brown eye shadow.
- Rose blush.
