Many folks may have seen the 501st announce their addition to a couple of NASA programs getting their name shot into space aboard Glory and the next Mars Rover.

Well, good guys may finish last, but at least we aren't left out!

Central Base hits the mall! It’s not for picking up the latest toys, though. It will be to help the Children's Care Hospital & School Auxiliary, at their 16th annual Mall Walk for Kids. The Empire Mall in Sioux Falls, South Dakota will be hosting the walk Saturday, February 6. All proceeds from the walk go to buy therapy and educational equipment for children with special needs. Last year, more than 1,000 people raised more than $78,000 for the hospital, and they hope to surpass that this year.

Kessel Base heads to the University of Houston – Clear Lake for the Con-Jour 2 - a local Sci-fi, Fantasy & Horror convention, January 29-31st. Members will be all around the convention helping with panels on costuming, demonstrating lightsaber techniques, promoting the Legion, and just having fun.
