Welcome to Endor Base Boomer! Ah, I see JedHead gave you some similar advise regarding Luke that I had given you via PM. Good luck with the costume, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here and I'm sure they can point you to good resources for your costume.

Hi everyone just wanted to say I'm very glad to be accepted into the rebel legion Smile

i very happy that i founded you guys because all i kept finding was 501st stuff! for a while i started to think there wasn't anything for the rebels or Jedi,but im extremely happy that i found people who love the rebel side as much as i do.Okay like a lot of you i grow up with star wars in my life it's one of those thing that really speak to you deep in your very soul the music the people and just the setting is just so magical i can go on for days about star wars lol i remember being a kid playing with my star wars toys one of my most fond memory is myself putting together my first c3po model while my mother was making butter cake,so many great memories. when it comes to star wars,one of the key reasons why i wanted to join others like myself is because in 2009 i went to the star wars music concert in the spirit of star wars i decided to dress up as a Jedi and wow everyone wanted to take a picture with me it really was something else,but what really touched my heart was their was a kid who you can see was lee fortunate than us he really wanted to take a photo with me he hugged me and gave me two thumbs up it really made his day i then truly realize then star wars is a very powerful way to touch others lives!

Welcome to the Rebel Legion Endor Base OrionVerin! I'm glad you found us and had such a wonderful time at Star Wars in Concert. Yes, one of the magical aspects of dressing up as a Star Wars character is being able to brighten the day for a few kids (and sometimes adults too!). Were you at the concert in San Jose or in Sacramento by chance? We had both Rebel and 501st members at both of those shows.

The one i went to was the one in Sacramento haha yeah there was a lot of adults as well who wanted to take photos with me as well. My mother said we really needed to get to are seats or we would never get to are show on time,your very right about it brighten someones day..i really enjoyed my time at the concert Kay_Dee Oh i met two of the people from 501st the photo is on my profile they where very kind to the folks who wanted to take photos with them, i really hope the concert comes back around again in the near future.Thank you again for the very kind and warm welcome i can really tell you guys are down to earth people it feels really great to be able share my passion of star wars with others.

Veries - the show is coming to Fresno next month, but that is a few hours drive from Sacramento.

The concert in Fresno is June 17th. We have an information thread about it here: http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23324&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

They are taking official volunteers for the show to appear in costume. As of right now the spots are full, but if a few tentative volunteers back out people on the wait list may be able to take their place. If you are interested, I'd suggest signing up in that forum thread as a back-up volunteer.

You can attend in costume as a non-volunteer too... just like you did for Sacramento... and you can hang out with us before the show taking photos with everyone Smile
