    Generic Wookiee

    Generic Wookiee

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION A race of towering, hairy bipeds, the Wookiees were one of the most recognizable species in the galaxy. They were renowned for their great strength, their intelligence, their loyalty and their short temper.  Due to their appearance, they were sometimes referred to as “walking carpets”.  (Source Wookieepedia) REQUIRED ITEMS: 1. Complete hair suit using natural or synthetic fibers. Hair should be natural colors such as brown, blond, auburn, black, grey, or white. Hair should average at least 6 inches or longer, but 8-10 inch long hair is preferred. Complete coverage is required; no bald spots or exposed skin/undersuit. 2. Faux fur is not allowed unless hair extensions have been added. No yarn or shag carpet Wookiees. The hair must maintain a consistent quality/type throughout the suit. 3. Dark brown, gray, or black gloves should be worn. There should be enough overlap between the gloves and the wrists of the hair suit that no skin is exposed. Gloves may be made of leather, vinyl, cloth, or rubber. 4. When worn, the feet must be completely covered with hair except for the bottom and the toes. The toes and toenails/claws must be visible. 5. The mask must completely cover the head and neck, without completely obscuring the shape of the shoulders. The eyes, a smooth black nose, and a large jaw/muzzle should all be clearly visible. A slight mustache like feature should be present as well. 6. The mask hair should be smooth and well groomed, not bushy, so that the mask’s shape and structure are clear. Beards, mustaches, dreadlocks and other features are encouraged. 7. Static masks should not be frozen in a fully opened position. All static mouths should be closed. 8. Although a functioning jaw and/or lip snarl is not required, the skin and lips of any mechanical masks should appear as one piece, rather than a separated jaw and and face. This refers only to the mask’s outward appearance, not the underskull. Costumers should be aware that mechanical jaws and lips are complex projects requiring purpose-built components using special materials. They cannot simply be added to an existing latex rubber mask. Consult the costuming resources and fellow Wookiee costumers for advice on this project. FORMAL REQUIREMENTS: For formal status, you must be at least 7 feet tall while in costume. Lifts, stilts, and other height-enhancing footwear can achieve this. CHARACTER DESCRIPTION Twi’leks, sometimes referred to disparagingly as “Tail-heads”, were an omnivorous humanoid species originating from the planet Ryloth. Entertainment slaves were forced typically to wear revealing outfits to please their masters (or their master’s guests) and submit to them. Jawa

    Jawa

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION  Jawas were typically short rodent-like natives of Tatooine. They were passionate scavengers, seeking out technology for sale or trade in the deep deserts in their huge sandcrawler transports. A band of Jawas was responsible for locating C-3PO and R2-D2 and selling them to Luke Skywalker’s uncle, Owen Lars. Another tribe of Jawas, led by Tteel Kkak, found Jabba the Hutt’s rancor. They had a reputation for swindling, as they had a penchant for selling old equipment such as outdated faulty droids to moisture farmers. However, they were extremely passive beings, and hardly put up any resistance to colonists of their planet unlike the other natives the Sand people, instead seeing foreigners as an excellent business opportunity. Source: Wookipedia REQUIRED ITEMS 1. Mask (and eyes) a. Black mask covering the entire face of the costumer so that no parts of the costumer’s head is visible. Face paint is not acceptable. b. The mask may be used as a base upon which the two glowing eyes are mounted. c. When in full costume, only the glowing eyes should be visible from within the opening of the hood. d. The eyes should glow, rather than emit a beam of light (flashlights or other beam emitting lights are not permitted). Incandescent lamps or non-directional LEDs are ideal. e. Eyes should be yellow or light orange (amber), spaced for “binocular vision” and approximately 1″ – 1.25″ in diameter. 2. Robe and Hood a. Robe and hood are a dark rust-brown textured fabric, and are separate pieces (hood is not attached to the robe). b. Robe pattern should be such that there are no visible seams and with an off center opening (on the front) that runs the length of the garment. The robe may also be sewed closed. The only seams that would appear would be left and right side seams on the underside of the sleeves to the arm pit area and proceeding down each side. Sleeves and bottom of the robe are unhemmed and be tattered/frayed. c. Hood is “pointy” and must be lined with a solid, black fabric. d. The hood may be reinforced to maintain the facial opening, and should lap over (the robe) and onto the shoulders. e. The flaps at the bottom front of the hood should overlap and may wrap around the neck. f. Robe and hood may be weathered. 3. Gloves a. Black cloth or leather (or leather-like) gloves extending over the wrist (and along the arm to ensure no skin is visible). b. Gloves should be plain. Adornments, buckles, straps, etc. are not permitted. 4. No exposed skin (or clothing) a. Black or brown undergarments should cover the costumers so that no skin (or other clothing) is visible. 5. Bandolier(s) a. (At least) one bandolier is required, and should be patterned from WWII or earlier bandoliers. b. Black or brown leather or leather-like material should be used. c. Bandolier(s) should be worn/weathered and any metal components should be dull/worn/scuffed. d. Two bandoliers are permitted and can be worn in any number of configurations. 6. Boots a. Boots (and lower legs) should be wrapped in a similar fabric as the robe/hood and be a similar color. b. Boots/wrapping should extend to the mid calf (or high enough so that no skin is visible). 7....

    Ewoks

    Ewoks

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION Ewoks were sentient, diminutive, furry bipeds native to the forest moon of Endor. They were most notable for helping the Rebel Alliance defeat the forces of the Galactic Empire at the Battle of Endor, allowing the shield generator there to be destroyed, and in turn, the second Death Star. Ewoks were curious individuals that stood about one meter tall; they were omnivorous and used spears, slings, and knives as weapons; they also used hang gliders, battle wagons, and bordoks as vehicles. Although extremely skilled in forest survival and the construction of primitive technology like gliders and catapults, the Ewoks had yet to progress past stone-level technology when discovered by the Empire. They were quick learners, however, when exposed to advanced technology with simple mechanical processes and concepts. Source: Wookiepedia. REQUIRED ITEM 1. Short brown, gray, or black fuzzy fur. Fur may be solid colored or striped as seen on screen. Fur should be matte (not shiny) and have a rough look to it. 2. Suit should not have visible closures or lines (seams). Suit should fit the wearer or be padded, as Ewok’s skin does not ‘sag’. 3. Two fingers and thumb on the hand; three toes on each foot. 4. Dark brown or black eyes. Eyes should not appear to be ‘lined’ with a distinct edge, but should blend in with the fur/skull as seen in the movie. 5. Hood or skull headgear made of leather or leather-like material, can be decorated with additional leather wraps, beads, faux bone, etc. 6. Facial features should reflect as much accuracy as possible in replicating on-screen Ewoks. Padding and stuffing may be used to increase the ‘roundness’ of the face inside the headgear. 7. Nose made of Sculpey or similar material in the proper shape as seen in the movie. 8. Mouth made of Sculpey or similar material in the proper shape as seen in the movie. 9. 2 to 4 teeth in mouth made of Sculpey or similar material in white or off white color. OPTIONAL ITEMS 1. Ewok may carry a weapon of choice (where permitted by law): spear made of wood with faux stone tip, sling, or non-store bought bow. Weapons should appear to have been hand made by creatures that live in the woods. 2. As an alternative, Ewoks can carry a walking stick or Shaman’s stick, decorated as desired. 3. Leather bags/pouches, appearing to have been hand made by creatures that live in the woods, are also allowed. Standard effective for costumes submitted after 6/1/12. See-Threepio (Classic Trilogy)

    See-Threepio (Classic Trilogy)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION C-3PO, sometimes spelled See-Threepio and often referred to as Threepio, was a bipedal, humanoid protocol droid designed to interact with organics, programmed primarily for etiquette and protocol. He was fluent in over six million forms of communication, and developed a fussy and worry-prone personality throughout his many decades of operation. After being destroyed and discarded on the planet Tatooine before 32 BBY, C-3PO was rebuilt; his salvaged nature gave him special qualities that distinguished him from similar droid models. Along with his counterpart, the astromech droid R2-D2, C-3PO constantly found himself directly involved in pivotal moments of galactic history, and aided in saving the galaxy on many occasions. C-3PO considered various droids and organics to be friends of his, and was very dedicated to them, as well as to any master that he served.
