Rules for playing: ** An urgent message from the Leader of the Rebel Legion.... “Welcome to the Rebellion. As an agent of the Rebel Legion, we thank you for your allegiance and your efforts against the Empire. We are in an hour of great need....the plans to the Death Star have been separated into 4 pieces and scattered among loyal Rebel Legion Members in order to hide them from the prying eyes of the Empire. Your mission is to collect all 4 pieces of the Death Star plans and return them to the Rebel Base intact so that we can begin planning our attack on the Death Star. You will be compensated for your efforts. We thank you in advance for your participation and for Joining the FIGHT against the Galactic Empire.” Participant rules: 1. You must be attending Celebration V for all three days August 13-15 to play. Wear your free Diplomatic Mission badge on Saturday August 14th that you can obtain at the RL table. 2. Approach all Rebel costumers who are wearing a Rebel Legion name badge and show them your badge and tell them, “I’m on a diplomatic mission”. If they have a piece of the Death Star plans, they will give you the piece he/she has. 3. Collect all 4 pieces and place them together on the badge(pieces are stickers). Show the completed plans to the Rebel Base(RL table) by 4:21pm local on Saturday August 14th for a raffle ticket for a prize. Echo Base goes back to school!
On June 17th, members of Echo Base and Garrison Carida joined forces to bring world cultures and mythologies to life at Penn State DuBois' "Galactic Training Academy". The course was part of Penn State's "Kids In College" program, a summer outreach program that is part of the University's participation in Pennsylvania's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Initiative. Students spent the week learning about world cultures and mythologies, ancient and modern, through the Star Wars universe. Thursday was an opportunity for the students to see first-hand some of the costumes, helmets, masks and props that we had been talking about all week, and to ask questions about the costumes/characters represented.

Our classroom became the most popular place on campus as the kids and their families, University staff and students and Kids In College staff and volunteers all came in for pictures, autographs, tattoos and hands-on exploration of costumes, helmets and props. The kids were a very well-informed group of hardcore SW fans, who asked some surprisingly nuanced questions and interacted very ably with the presenters. (At one point, Maul as so impressed with one of the students' answers he invited the kid to just come up and sit on the panel!) This was the first troop for the 501st/RL in this part of Pennsylvania, and the first time that there has been an appearance at Penn State DuBois. For more photos and details on the event – read Tharren’s complete report in our Mission Reports section. http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24675 Virada Cultural Parade - Brazil Blue Ridge Base attends FANATICON May 15th view all blog entries...
