CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Beru Whitesun Lars, the wife of Owen Lars, was a Tatooinian woman who raised Luke Skywalker after the fall of the Galactic Republic. Coming from a long line of moisture farmers, Beru Whitesun grew up near Mos Eisley on Tatooine. On a trip to Anchorhead, she met Owen Lars, the son of another moisture farmer, Cliegg Lars. Beru and Owen fell in love, and Beru later became part of the Lars family.

REQUIRED ITEMS

1. Jumper

a. Dark Brown long sleeve v-neck pull over jumper

b. V- neck and sleeve hems are topstitched with matching brown thread

c. Jumper has a seam at the waist and is no more than 2” above the floor in length

d.Skirt part of jumper is A-line with a very slight gather at the waist

e.Sleeves should come to the wrist of wearer

2. Undershirt

a. The undershirt is a pumpkin or rusty orange colored v-neck undershirt or dickey

b. The undershirt has a pattern of small “winged basket” designs that are dark brown in color. See reference images for this pattern

c. The undershirt does not need sleeves

d. Fabric should be a loose weave if possible

e. No buttons should be showing and collar should reach the shoulders of Denim jacket

f. Collar is not top-stitched

3. Jacket

a. Medium Blue Wash Denim Jacket

b. Straight Denim Jacket with pockets has no shoulder seams but has two angled seams in the back instead. These seams are covered with a ¾” wide strip of matching fabric to hide the seam line. This strip goes under the neck trim in the back

c. Jacket does not have a collar

d. Jacket has a matching trim that goes down the front edges of the jacket and around the neck in back. The trim is narrow in back and very wide in front. Some of the trim on the back should show below the back of the orange collar when worn

e. Deep front Pockets are placed to cover at least 1” of the trim

f. Trim, hem, and pockets are top-stitched

g. Closures are made from 3 pairs of six loops of denim fabric. First pair is placed at the corner of the V at the top. Remaining two loops are spaced evenly down the front of the jacket. Loops should interlace by threading one loop through the other and then over the unattached ends

h. Sleeves are about 2-3” above the wrist which allows the brown jumper sleeve to show at all times. Sleeves have a wide cuff at least as wide as the trim in front and are top-stitched. The inside of the sleeve is lined at least halfway up the inside so that the darker side shows on the inside of the cuff when arm is extended.

4. Boots and Socks

a. Black or Dark Brown ankle length boots with laces. Hiking boots are ok if solid in color

b. Matching socks should be worn and show just above the boot.

5. Hair

a. Hair should be worn no longer than shoulder length and should have full side swept bang

b. A bob like style is preferred but not absolute

c. Naturally-occurring hair colors only

OPTIONAL ITEMS

1. Tupperware 640-7 cup for “Blue Milk”

2. Pockets may be added to the jumper but must be hidden in side seams.
